Registration for the 30th Licensing Round Technology Forum, jointly hosted Oil and Gas Authority (OGA) and the Oil & Gas Technology Centre, is now closed as the event is fully subscribed.

The event, which takes place on 22 August at the Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre (AECC), will focus on how technology can help unlock future oil and gas developments in the upcoming 30th Offshore Licensing Round.

The uptake for the event has been very high with attendees registering from oil and gas operators, service providers and technology companies, keen to hear from tech specialists and industry experts - as well as participating in the discussion and networking opportunities on the day.

35 exhibitors from major service providers to SMEs, including PGS, Baker Hughes, a GE company, Amplus and Western Geco, will showcase their innovative solutions, expertise and insights in the technology arena.

Gunther Newcombe, OGA Director of Operations is encouraged by the huge uptake saying: “It’s great to see so many people coming to the conference which clearly demonstrates the high interest and importance the role of technology plays in assisting exploration and field development.”

Chris Pearson, Small Pools Solution Centre Manager for the Oil & Gas Technology Centre, added: “The Technology Forum is a great opportunity to find out about the latest solutions that can help unlock marginal fields in the UKCS. Technology will play a key role in the success of the 30th Licencing Round and the positive uptake for places at the event is very positive.”
